Tal Dehtiar survived the Dragon's Den on CBC and is coming to Waterloo to share his strategies and story of building social ventures. His company, Oliberté, is the first to market premium urban-casual footwear that is exclusively made in Africa. Africa is more than just poverty and Oliberté footwear demonstrates its pride, power and liberty.

Also the co-founder of MBAs Without Borders, Tal will tell you why Oliberté is not a charity and why he believes you can create change - and help build lives - through a for-profit model. Tal is a recipient of the 2004 Global Trader Award, the 2005 Arch Award, and a nominee for Canada's Top 40 Under 40.

The Change Agents Series highlights the stories and strategies of social entrepreneurs whose ideas are making change. The series is made possible by IRAP and is hosted in partnership with the Accelerator Centre, Wilfrid Laurier University, and Social Innovation Generation (SiG) at Waterloo.
